How to Improve Wifi Signal Strength at Home|Tips to enhance wifi signal

Today, I will share a method to enhance the signal of a wireless router by enabling WDS mode, which expands the coverage of the wireless signal, enhancing its strength. Routers are indispensable in households today, and signal issues are a common concern.

Nowadays, routers are indispensable equipment in weak current boxes in every household, and the signal problem of routers has become what everyone cares about most.

As I continue to study in depth, today I will continue to share with you a method that can enhance the signal of a wireless router.

That is to turn on the WDS of the router and expand the coverage of the wireless signal through WDS wireless mode to achieve the effect of enhancing signal strength.

So what is WDS? The full English name of WDS is Wireless Distribution System, which is a wireless distribution system.

In fact, it acts as a repeater for the wireless network and expands the wireless signal by turning on the WDS function on the router.

Its principle allows wireless APs or wireless routers to perform relay bridging wirelessly, without affecting the coverage effect of their devices in the process.

First we need to prepare two routers, which are divided into Router 1 and Router 2 below.

Router 1:

Step 1: Log in to the management IP address on the back of the router and enter the management interface.

Step 2: Remember the SSID, channel, encryption type, and password settings in the wireless settings

Step 3: Enter the DHCP menu, turn off DHCP, save the settings and restart the router.

Router 2

Step 1: Also log in to the management IP address of the router and enter the management interface.

Step 2: Enter wireless settings and synchronize all settings with Router 1.

Step 3: Check whether all settings of the two routers are consistent, and finally turn on WDS.

Step 4: Find the wireless bridging function and start setting it up.

Step 5: Find and select the name of Router 1. The SSID and BSSID will be automatically imported after selection. If you can't find it, you can scan for nearby signals.

Step 6: Enter the wireless password of Router 1 to connect to the router.

After completion, you can expand the wireless signal at home and reasonably distribute the placement of the two routers to achieve full house coverage of wireless signals.

If you have any router-related questions or questions in the WIFI field, you can send me a private message. I am happy to share the knowledge I have learned with everyone, and we can also discuss more profound WIFI issues together.
